Hi, Yrs Mum will look after chhicks and keep them warm, even if you put duck eggs under her she will look after them.
Have they hatched yet? Twenty one days for chicken eggs to hatch.
    Let me know.
I have eleven Muscovey Ducks in a box hatched under a Broody Hen a week ago!

Excelent, should all be out and about by now.
Feed them crumb, its chicken food ground down fine, put some in a coffee grinder.........
I am sure your daughter will be over the moon handling the day old chicks.
    Enjoy
