    Hi,

I'm leaving the country indefinately (a year min) at the end of this month and a colleague in work mentioned that i might be able to claim back the tax i paid from Jan of this year? Is this right? I am clueless about these kind of things, what i'm entitled to etc.

Once you leave your current job and receive your P45 you need to complete Form P50 and send it in to your local tax office. Depending on what time of the year you leave you may be entitled to a refund. Link to the form is here http://www.revenue.ie/revsearch/search.jsp
