Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

superlav first Jimbo second Swords lad third , mise fourth Staro 6th.

Happy days nice hammerfest at the start as planned with Staro myself Glenamaddy and two Naas lads working well . Superlav bridged slo to us as A3's weren't working. He upped the pace again with myself Staro and one other doing a lot of work and Jimbo hammering thru a few times.

Hill at the end Jimbo Superlav and Swords lad went off I used the small ring and "spun" while everyone else tried to grind so was passed by 10 and then passed them all back as the hill kicked in reached crest in 4th and into big ring. Delighted with myself.

Great result for Superlav well deserved totally dominated race.

Well done shaungil - now if you had only given that TT a miss last night (like superlav did!) who knows ...

Congratulations to superlav, jimbo28 and Staro also - almost a boards clean sweep:)

some photos from the inside of a pub!

(I thought it was a bike race, not a drinking competition - not too surprised at some of those who placed on that basis:D)

Now that was a hammerfest! I was pretty shattered after that race.

Well done to "superlav" he deserved that win, after he bridged from the A3 group to the A4 group he drove it on and ultimately dragged the group to the finish. Also well done to Shaungil and other swords rider who worked their socks off all night and got their reward.

There were about 8 to 10 riders that did all the work last night it would have been nice to have a bit more open racing as the rest just sat on.

I've never seen Staro so shattered ever. What was even better was that he was pipped for 5th by a 60 yr old;)

while I was screaming like a banshee in pain I recovered within 30 secs or so Staro was chewing his frame for about 5 mins after.

In the A4's I think most were hanging on, but there were clearly a handful with plenty of ability that sat on, I guess they were confident they could manage a place even if A3's managed to catch up or believed that we would be caught regardless of any effort to stay away. I can live with that, but it really gets me going when they get in the way of any attempt to get a routine working.

It was a similar affair in the A3 group, although there didn't seem to be a co-ordinated effort to keep the pace up, just the occassional indivdual bursts of speed -some of which were very impressive, but ultimatly wasted.

I don't see the glory in winning a handicap race unless you are either in the scratch group or have done a good share of the pace setting in the slower groups, in fact it's shameful.
