Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Will be home for the 2nd half and then 2 weeks off. Can't wait!!

Will the horns be audible in every game or just South Africas ?

Dos Santos has been great so far.

  • Site Banned Posts: 5,676 ✭✭✭jayteecork

    Yellow card my snatch.

In all fairness. Poor guy could wind up missing a game over that.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 517 ✭✭✭lisbon_lions

Rte seem to have copped on and switched on the extra blades up in donnybrook - stream far better now. Good opening from Mexico.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,463 ✭✭✭Kiwi_knock

The Mexicans have quite dodgy haircuts

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,492 ✭✭✭MementoMori

Way too easy for Giovanni - no one near him in terms of marking

Should have at least hit the target.

No way. He stopped the freekick from being taken quickly. Twice. That's a yellow card I'm afraid.

In other news......any chance of an audio filter to cancel out the vuvuzelas?

Great little run from Giovanni. SA defensively look woeful. Mexico playing some good stuff as they did at Wembley.

Is it me or is UTV's picture quality very bad compared to RTE?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,684 ✭✭✭scargill

those horns. jebus. the wife won't let me watch football at the best of times. I can only imagine her reaction when she hears a constant swarm of bees for EVERY match.

are they supposed to add 'atmosphere' or something?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,630 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Nice Guy

I used to find people who rang bells at games annoying but it's joyous compared to this fecking racket.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 31,950 ✭✭✭✭Mars Bar

Can't understand why the Mexicans don't drive the ball low and hard across the box. The ball could spill just like their goalkeeper did just there...

I don't get it though, what's the point going to a game just so you can stand there blowing a bloody vuvuzela all day. Don't these people have ears at all?

Good play SA, need to calm it down and pass it around

I'm watching on ITV1 London but I switched over from RTE as the picture quality seems better.

Plus I always suspect that the pictures and audio quality are not in sync on RTE. Commentators always seem to say what has happened a second before it actually happens. Maybe it is just me!

    Jaysus those vuvuzela's are annoying!

The people have never been part of any sort of big/major sporting event before and probably will not again, this is there way of taking part and contributing to the World Cup. I know it is annoying but it is nice for the fans to take part and feel like they are contributing to an excellent sporting event

Mexicans look fairly toothless when attacking...

Crap game so far. SA have no real quality on the ball. I can see it being 1-0 Mexico.

They are contributing nothing. They are taking away from the enjoyment if anything. I'm tempted to watch on mute =/

Well do it then, instead of clogging up the thread complaining about the effing things.

ffs like, it's not a surprise that they are there, we all knew it was going to be like this, so everyone, please stfu moaning about them, every telly comes with a mute button, use it instead of whinging in an internet forum about the noise.

They won't be banned, so accept it. But please. Shut the fúck up about them.
