Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Anything bought with a bank loan or maxed out credit card can't be included (so no house or car loans).... What, then, is the most expensive thing you've ever bought?

A Holiday to Euro Disney, last minute deal.

Other than that, the ex, though that's a long term credit thing really!

    Does a bet count?

One of my aul mans mates mentioned about 3 years back that Tiger always wins the Buick. And me like a drunk asshole puts my weeks wages on him, about €520 at around 1/2. Can't even remember, anyway he won :D

Apart from that, really couldn't say on this forum...

There was a threesome in Paris. Big withdrawal on the bank statements.

Maybe that's why she's the ex.

They don't seem to like that type of thing.

Stupidly the phrase "Paid in cash" has two meanings It can be meant literally as in payment using legal tender (which could have been borrowed) or It can mean payment with cheque/card/etc where no money was borrowed to finance the transaction

Most expensive thing I bought without borrowing money was my first car
Second most expensive thing (paid with actual cash) was first years insurance for said car :(

Most expensive thing was a mobile home. Makes me feel a little ill when I think of it. But it is great. Then a ridiculously expensive car - which is probably worth about a fiver now  and if then if you count the amount of cash I put into my house :o I could actually be quite rich if I'd kept it all. But instead. I'm stone broke!

Probably something stupid like income tax or deposit on a rented apartment. The only other things I can think of are a bicycle and a PC, about 300 euros each.

Well it started with buying the love of my life a vodka and lemon

Then it went on to pretty much turning me into a 360 spinning money spitting machine : /

No, nothing happened. I thought the question would be "If your repairs were the most you've spent at €700, how much did your car cost?"

Well it cost a grand, but my father was kind enough to buy it for me!

Spent roughly €2,200 on PC components to build my own system in Oct '07. I kinda regret it in hindsight and probably should have paid €1k for a good laptop when considering what I have used it for.

Biggest cash purchase however was 4 months ago when I handed over €14,300 of my hard earned on a sexy new car. No regrets there. (Yet).

Wow, talk about OTT, that PC should still be good by todays standards if you picked your parts well, or did you just toss away 700 quid on a fancy case? :pac:
