€32,400 for plumbing and heating in my house - still have the reciept (though it says it was more - hence the cash payment;))

Wow, talk about OTT, that PC should still be good by todays standards if you picked your parts well, or did you just toss away 700 quid on a fancy case? :pac:

Oh it's still very good tbh. It's just that at the time I had intended on playing a lot of PC games that need high specs. If only I knew that I would subsequently buy a PS3 and never play a game on the PC again. :o

I've never taken out a loan, never been in debt. I hate the thought of it.

Laptop, for about 900. Was stuffed under the bed after about 2 years.
Or my drumkit. Put about €2,000-2,5000 into it. Still not finished.

Sure you'd get cheaper kids on the South American market?

My biggest spur of the moment purchase was for one of these. I bought it in Arnotts for around €2,500, it has a built in fridge for beer and a massager with heated seat so that your ass doesnt go numb!

It goes great with my 110" 1080p projector and screen!

A holiday in LA to celebrate the death of the Celtic Tiger. About 7K:eek:. Still; brownie points for life from the Mrs. as I managed to get us in to a party where she got to meet her musical heros QOTSA, which reminds me; Honey??:D

A holiday. Just over €1300 handed over in cash. It had better be worth it!

Boring answer but my car, €1500. Insurance (Third fcuking party) comes second at €1450

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,165 ✭✭✭Savage Tyrant

The car before the one i'm driving now. I paid 11,000 for it in cash. And on the same day spent just under 7,500 on a Brietling watch. I spent about 25,000 that week. And just over 81,000 in 2 months. Only 38,000 of that was invested. The rest was wasted. I came into a bit of money and was too young and immature to deal with it sensibly.
I wish I could do it again.

I spent nearly a grand on flight to USA last year. As for actual things: new glasses every two-ish years usually cost me approx €600, I pay it with my Laser (no overdraft). I'm so exciting aren't I?

    €5,250 on college tuition fees.
By this time next year there'll probably be another €8,000 on that (and probably no job) :(

With actual cash it'd be €2,400 on my first car last year.
With my credit card it'd be ~€3,000 on a cruise cabin last week.
