Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Is that the first time Lampard has touched the ball all night?

Get the ball to Lennon fast and let him run at them.

Is Dawson on the bench? If so, for what possible reason could there to be to put on Carragher?

because precious Jamie would have been whinging if he didn't get a game?

id take Rooney off and bring on Defoe

You really have to keep your goalscorers on in these situations though, the USA defense are absolute tanks who will have used sport science in America to be in tip top shape for this. England have to get behind them, not keep relying on crosses.

    great save

    Carragher just got raped there.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 85,588 ✭✭✭✭Overheal

It's more a case of confirming what I thought anyway but I'm just curious as to whether there is anyone who thinks England have any sort of chance and if so why?
Well i dunno anything about the current team. 4 years ago they did very well for themselves and then the italian lineup - drama queens that they were, imo - got the ref to hold their hand for the win.

Oh man, Carragher was destroyed for pace there.

And that is why Carragher should not be playing

Small bit of reemption for Green (and the bar) there.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 51,342 ✭✭✭✭That_Guy

England on the edge. Could've been 2-1 to USA.

Even in their pre World Cup games they've been muck. They lack serious drive at times.

Lots of people will forgive him. They'll even be hoping he does it again a few times before the final whistle. :D

Not a great save at all from Green. Saved by the post from a 2nd howler.

Heskey is caught offside at least 20 times per game, it's fúcking ridiculous!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 85,588 ✭✭✭✭Overheal

    Brilliant pass there....

Nope there'e been one good one - but it wasn't over the wall - curler into the top corner from out wide?

Woould largely agree though - havent seen anyone get it up and down over a wall.

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,692 ✭✭✭✭OPENROAD

More of that please, good ball from Gerrard

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 51,342 ✭✭✭✭That_Guy

Unlucky Rooney. Now if the giraffe was on.... Might have been a different story.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,853 ✭✭✭ragg

I'm not sure if Rooney is the key to England winng this game, or if he's having a shocker

Absolute rubbish. You obviously don't know anything about goalkeeping.

I suppose with all the teams in the group to draw with, you'd want it to be with the USA.
