Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

asking if there is a chance of replacing Green at HT now. One of the lads said it would "Completely ruin him" if he were to be taken off. Think it is far too late for that.

    That would ruin him.

If England win it will spare him

If they lose or even draw he'll get a lot of stick.

Anyway, Hart and James are just as likely to do something ridiculous !

As a Hammers fan I had to focus on the Scum-suckers Terry and ****ly Cole to enjoy that one ! Couldnt happen to nicer people. Gutted for Rob Green though.

England have been gash in the first half. They didnt deserve to be in front.

"Apologies for some disruption in the coverage"

Kind of a **** apology Adrian.

Very offhand played-down 'apology' for the interruption there!

I feel really bad for Green. I just can't join in on the laughter. His face in the replay as he realised he wasn't getting to the ball!!

reverting to norm, slagging off England for the sake of it

Player of the quality of Gerrard should not be turned like that, should have done better

Should be a very interesting second half! Capello will be furious. Gerrard show glimpses of what he can play like.

    What a shocker from Green.

England in the World Cup = guaraunteed entertainment.

Still think they'll go on and win 3-1. The press will be frothing at the mouth if it stays as is.

They have the majority of the ball so far. Milner was dragged off without a touch of the ball (Would love to time travel back to the night boards exploded when I said he was not top class!). That sounds like USA being better to me.

England can still score goals though, US defence is very dodgy.

Edit: In fairness to Milner, he did have a virus.

Anybody manage to get a screen-shot of the Green cock-up yet? :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,684 ✭✭✭FatherTed

I have to say even before the USA goal, they were getting a good hold on the game, more possession.

Donovan, Dempsey and Altidore had a few long range shots on Green before that so I'm guessing their scouting report is to shoot on sight.

I reckon the USA if, they continue to get a better hold in midfield will get a few more chances. They'll bring on Gomez or Buddle, one of them will knock one in.

King and Terry partnership looking ok after all the slagging Gomes got from the English press when he first started for spurs they'd give there right arm for him now

I would say that he can change everything by being a hero sometime down the line, but in all likeliness this will probably be his first and last game in the tournament.
