    Bra 2 knickers 1.
    That is all.

I remember years ago the three letter abbreviations for teams on tv would simply take the first three letters of the name and take no account for political correctness eg Spain would be "Spa", Nigeria would be "Nig" and Arsenal would be "Ars".

However when the PC brigade starting watching football in the mid-90s Spain suddenly became "Esp" , Nigeria became "Ngr" and Arsenal became "Asnl" and things have been like that ever since.

So it's great to see that in this era of political correctness that we can at least still show Bra's on TV.

Nga is better for Nigeria anyway. Less chance of confusing it with Niger.

Woo thread is open, nice! Now to the important stuff...Hamanns eyebrows? WTF is going on there? Looks like two angry caterpillars having a stand off.

I think Hammann as a pundit is a breath of fresh air in contrast to the two usual hungover gobsh!tes. He's a world cup runner - up and isn't the least bit afraid to speak his mind. I'm pleasantly suprised that RTE landed someone of his calibre.

    Honduras vs. Chile up soon.
    Wow.

Plus his Bavarian/Scouser accent is fairly unique.

    Wow.

Don't knock it til you've... actually, you're probably safe enough to knock it now...

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

I'm on my lunch break at half 1, walking across the road to get food and coming back here for the match.
Anyone recommend a good roll suitable for WC?

It was pretty bad when Nigeria played Germany all the same!

    Shades of Jan Molby.

The scouse accent is like a virus.

watching the Chile-Honduras match in the pub at lunch and I figure that the re-opening of the AH world cup thread can be celebrated by pointing out all the unfortunately named players. I'll kick things off with Chile's Waldo Ponce

    I lol'd. Here's the final result: http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/poll.php?do=showresults&pollid=16110 Pretty much 3-1...with a suspicion of the 1 being an OG. :D

Dunno who I'm shouting for in this one. I like Spain but Switzerland are the underdogs. Hmm. Some good goals, hopefully.
