to those more soccer savvy than me...what would be the wost result in the Slovenia - USA game for England?

just had a quick think about it(so probably could be corrected), but i think the worst result would be usa 5-1slovenia...... as usa n england drew, england would like the US to lose as england could top the group if they go and beat algeria and slovenia. and if that happens england finish on 7points, slovenia 6, usa 4(if they beat algeria).

if england win their next two games, they should be fine.

    and to all you nay-sayers....bbbbbbbbbbrrrrrrrrrrrrzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

    Rest of article here http://howd.ie/d0d2ad9

    Vuvuzelas and Bishop Tutu
Even the icon of apartheid resistance, Bishop Desmond Tutu, has had to stand up for the poor old horn thing. This is a great example of duality, where the media create a narrative about something that nobody on the ground is talking about. Of course it is easy to interview someone who says they were a bit annoying. But neither in the ground or the hostels have I yet encountered heated debate about the blasting things. European and Africans are blowing in unity - maybe Bono can write a song about that? I, meanwhile am looking for some kind of Vuvuzela Anonymous thing where I can share my inability to do so with like-minded sufferers. No joy so far.

That keeper wussed out of that goal. He closed his eyes and moved out of the way of the ball. He takes three steps toward that striker that wouldn't have gone in!

was it disallowed because of foul on usa players (being held?)

  • Registered Users Posts: 29,293 ✭✭✭✭Mint Sauce

wtf, ref blew a minute early
was it disallowed because of foul on usa players (being held?)

no it that was the case goal would have stood or been awarded a penalty, ref reckons it was a foul by the americans

It wasn't a free in the first place, the US player dived IMO

was a some comeback by the US though!

there was at least two US players being held back in the lead up to the disallowed goal

definitely, maybe even more than 2 players, but the free kick given to the US that led to the goal was a dive. they probably wont show the replay of the US winning the free, but it was a dive.

Bad refereeing all round I think.
