I never heard such rubbish. I think you need an Eamon Dunphy John Giles Lecture.

What about Irish players in other English clubs are they worth your cheer?

Was just thinking the German jersey is a lot nicer than the Ghana one - added bonus a goal for Germany now :D

    Off topic, but worth posting:

The Wimbledon 1st rd match between Isner and Mahut is the longest tennis match ever. In fact, the fifth set, currently 59-58, is longer on its own than the longest ever tennis match. This set has lasted over 6 hours!

    Looks like Serbia are fcuked.

Serbian goal disallowed for offside... Would have put Ghana out?!

Yes. One goal for Serbia now would leapfrog them into second place ahead of Ghana.

Edit: No dice, Germany top group, Ghana take second spot, Australia and Serbia going home.

    motivation for the English team...

German friend of mine reckons the team is jinxed because their playing in their away jerseys!

I don't really buy into stuff like that.

Then again Ireland have never lost a world cup game playing in Green (2-4-0)
By comparison we've never won a world cup game playing in white (0-4-3)!

Landon Donovan said "Hi Bianca" and blew a kiss to the screen on the post match interview.

Irwin: "Well, i know Donovan is having marriage difficulties. I think he got divorced there a while back.

Dunphy: "So who's Bianca then" (turns to someone on the crew laughing) "who's this Bianca?"

Irwin: "Well, someone obviously new then"

Bill: "So Bianca is not his wife then, is that what you're saying?"

    Irwin: "Yes"

Dunphy laughs again "Tell us more"

Irwin goes into a speech about Donovan's career.

Bill: "So should we all say goodnight to Bianca then?"

Dunphy "Yeah. Goodnight Bianca, See you baby"

Bill finishes it off then by saying "So England face Germany and will be having nightmares about penalties. I hope it doesn't happen to Bianca. Goodnight"

    Panel explodes in laughter.
