When you leave a player like Darren Bent at home and bring Emily Horseky instead you deserve nothing more.

The scape goat of course will be the ref and the linesman for the goal but the blame should be nearly entirely placed at their own doorstep. They never should have being playing this match, they should have topped their group and faced an easier match against Ghana. The disallowed goal will paper over the abject failure of their WC campaign.

    Exactly.

They will whinge about that "goal" forever and forget about the fact that they are... unbelievably shíte. San Marino could beat them. :pac:

    Oezil was outstanding.

Showed up England for what they really are.

Would love to see himin the Premier League so we'd see more of him. What a player.

Yeah that is true....I also read somewhere that they offered Scholes a place at the last minute but he had already made plans with his family......they gave him a night to decide.....not very fair......he would have been ace.....

Yeah. They'll probably say that Gerrard played well.

They're great for their clubs but when they put on their country jersey they play terribly. Lack passion and industry.

Why did England even bother practicing penalties when they knew they had a defence like that

Well there probably are a lot more non-English players in the premiership than English ones to be fair.

I don't hate them it's just the hype they have about themselves.

I only have access to Premier League so it would be nice to see the lad. Some player. Great talent.

You would hardly even know that Rooney had played any of the 4 matches. Meant to be the talisman that would inspire the team but lacked fitness and sharpness. I wonder if Sir Alex will be blamed for not protecting Rooney

The best thing for them to do is remain dignified, admit that they were beaten by a better team on the day, and work towards the European Championships.

I wonder which German newspaper will have the guts to use the word "blitzed" in its World Cup headline?

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,462 ✭✭✭Kiwi_knock
