Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I got given an enlarger (sorting out my darkroom/shed soon). I had a look around the net for manual but no luck. Has anyone got one of these models or knows a bit more info on it?

    I'll be doing B+W printing.

Is that a 6x6 neg holder as well ? Or is it just 35mm ? I could never track down a manual for my LPL enlarger, but they're all reasonably simple beasts, shouldn't be too difficult to work out.

Actually, looking at them larger, that's the filter drawer, with conveniently included grade 2 contrast filter. The big lens I'm guessing is the condenser lens, mine doesn't come out but it looks like this one slides out aswell. The other thing is the negative holder. Has it glass to keep the neg flat ? I'm guessing there should be slots for each of the three drawers. Condenser, then filter, and finally negative is the way mine is set up.

The tin opener thing looks like a 35mm canister opener. Never used them, I've always used those leader extracters instead. I've learned from bitter experience never to mess around trying to pry metal bits from other sharp metal bits in pitch darkness.

There is a bit of dust on this, so a good hoovering, would methylated spirits be ok on the glass condenser ?

Can you mount the work on a wall (without putting holes in it obviously) and then use strobes to light it? Place the strobes at 45 degree angles (you'll need 2) and place the camera at 90 degrees dead center from the work. Fill the frame with the art work. Use a light meter to be sure that the light is even all over the art work - tweak the lights as necessary.

Can you mount the work on a wall ...

The enlarger the OP is talking about is for enlarging 35mm negatives onto photo paper to make wet prints in the darkroom.
