Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

The last time I remember broadcasting grass seed with my vicon I had it set at 8 or 10 roughly half cwt acre setting for fert. I gave the field 2 runs at that setting, second run at right angle to the first run. I have a half ton vicon with a steel hopper. You also need to drive the width of the tractor from the last run with lower revs than spreading fert. Put in half the seed first and see whats left over after covering the field, its trial and error. Other than that you would need to calibrate the spreader calculate how long it takes to cover 1/10 of an acre take off the spout reverse tractor and spreader against wall put in the seed run the spreader at a certain setting for the length of time it takes to spread 1/10 acre then collect the seed and weigh it. I don't know of any farmer that tried the second method other than in ag college.
