Quick advice needed if anyone's around! I'm getting a french manicure this afternoon, but would prefer to shower afterwards. What are the chances of my nails getting ruined in a long shower? Should I just shower beforehand?

I'd say once you give the manicure long enough to dry, you should be fine. I had a manicure about three weeks ago and it didn't chip at all for about a week, and I took a shower about two or three hours after I had it done.

Ask them if they have Shellac, it's a new product, it's like nail varnish but it is "cured" and hardened the same as gel, apparently it lasts for weeks. Google it and see what you think.

It worked out fine anyway. Manicure still perfect :).
