Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Not recognising my profile

    When trying to get into my laptop today I am getting the message after the password stage to say the system doesn't recognise my profile and I can't go any further.

    Does anyone know what is wrong and how I can fix it?

    It sounds like your profile has been corrupted.
    Can you log in using another account?
    What operating system is it? XP/Win7?

    Is anyone able to help with this?

    I have checked online for assistance with corrupt user profiles but the advice is to log in as an administrator and set up new profile. I can't do that as I am unable to log in.

    try to log as user Administrator no password in safe mode and reset the password for your user

    I can't log in as administrator, it won't let me long in at all.

    Did you try to boot in safe mode?

    It's Windows Vista. Can you tell me how to reboot in Safe Mode?

    For Vista i will try first last known good configuration.
    Read here about booting options in Vista
