Looking to buy everything needed to dive but dont want "new" pricetags.
is it safe to buy secondhand gear and where is the best place to find some decent secondhand gear?

Sure, it's safe to buy second hand dive gear, assuming you buy safe second hand gear!

It's just like buying a used car. Caveat emptor.

As to where to buy, you could ask around if you're in a club, you could ask at dive centres if they have a board, check out adverts.ie, or check divegear.ie as well.

    www.divegear.ie ;)

Check that the gear is in test and if not, factor in the cost of servicing it.
