Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Germany to win 4-0.

Glad I only put €3 on it cause they look like getting a bundle more. :D

Bastian Schweinsteiger's back must be killing him ... He has the whole midfield in his pocket .

This is a special performance by the Germans, credit to em. Ballack's no loss it seems

Great stuff, Ozzies have given up

  • Site Banned Posts: 5,676 ✭✭✭jayteecork

Had the Krauts to win 3-0. Ah well.
That was my last bet of my world cup roll too, will have to reload.

    Been a disaster bet wise.

I wish my name was Bastian Schweinsteiger.

    HERE COME THE GERMANS!!! 4-0

Why did anyone doubt the Germans? Look at their record.

I have the same with Australia. With their level of shiteness.

Germany play the best football i have seen sofar but i dont expect the same against a decent team.

    Ozil has looked good alright.
He was superb. First time seeing him after reading about him a bit and he's very tidy.

Hard to know how much of this is down to Australia being cack though.

Wonder if the Aussies will lose all their matches?

Exactly. Like I was saying earlier, I could see France/Argentina/England beating this lot 4-0 too. But Germany have been good, no doubt.

Wow the Germans have really woken me up anyway.

For some reason I just didn't give them any respect and thought Australia always seem to do well.

Put a tenner on 8 teams to get out of their groups, all favourites except Australia..

Anyway I'm sorry Germany, i shouldn't have ever doubted you. They look like they could go along way.

How many matches is Cahill banned for? Need some small hope for this bet

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 88,972 ✭✭✭✭mike65

Straight red is 3 games I think.

Nah couldn't see the current france side rip up the Aussies like this, there's too much teamwork on display from the Germans here. France aren't much of a team. And the England from the other night were poor too, although they're more than capable of beating this aussie side.

Yep and 4 reds in 3 days.

3 of them deserved though. Especially the youngfella from U-r-gay and the Algerian dude who was on and off in like 10 mins :D

Ah no... was it the right decision? Made a sandwich and when i came back the commentator said he was off

Germany by far and away the best football so far in the tourment. Goalkeeper is assured, back 4 solid, mid and forwards especially Ozil really impress.
Compared to other games notably that farce last night counting the number of passes has been a pleasure. Hope they can keep it up,

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 54,682 ✭✭✭✭Headshot

ill reserved judgement on this German side until i see them against a descent team like Ghana or serbia

but it has been the best performance of the WC so far (that wouldnt be hard)

Australia have been brutal, im not sure is it tactics or are they just ****e in general

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,337 ✭✭✭✭monkey9

Rape Crisis Centre : Hello, how can i help??

Caller: Ah G'day Sheila. A couple of hours ago, i met some Germans who i thought were bonza......................

that wasnt a dive he tried to avoid the tackle

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,463 ✭✭✭Kiwi_knock

The refs approach to diving in this WC has been excellent, stamp it out of the game, no one wants to see it

If i was Hamann i'd not be happy with the crap dunphy's been saying tonight. Come on Didi, smack him!

Ha I'm actually thinking the same thing. Now that i look at it, Australia were 15/2 to get out of the group... the bookie isn't wrong that often.

Now they don't even have Cahill :(

Eamo lost a few quid now that I think of it, he backed the Aussies to get a draw, he must be bitter now after it.

Massive credit must go to Germany, it didn't feel like a World Cup until Germany put on this show tonight, they will give anybody a very close game.
