Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I dropped by and had a good look around. I have to say well done to all who exhibited, you did a great job and should be very proud. There was a great mix of work on display. Lovely day for it yesterday too. Might even exhibit myself next year if I can get myself into gear.

Lovely to catch up with people at the weekend, and I still managed to miss a good few of ye. Oh well, there's always next year :)

This weekend was my 1st peoples photography & I loved every minute of it.
It was great meeting up with many of you for the 1st time & lovely to see so many others that I've had the pleasure of meeting before.

Where do I sign up for PP2011?

Second year doing Peoples Photography. Sales were up 100% on last years :D
If you go for the sales only then your missing the crack. Spent the weekend walking and talking to new friends and old.

It was great seeing everybody and a big thanks to everybody who dropped by ;)

That was great fun. I think we at boards had a fantastic display of photos. Well done to everyone for making it a great weekend and to all the visitors who said hello.

Already looking forward to organising our spaces for next year :D

I dropped by with Saoirse on Sunday. It was great to see everyone again & also to take some time to visually digest such a fine collection of photo's in print. Computer screens don't do them justice. I think Saoirse's favourite photo's were of Kyle Tunney's Pet photos. (http://www.petphotography.ie/)
She talked about them most when we got home :D

After one too many quizzical looks over the weekend, I've changed my username from Sagastipean to DougL. I've never been much into Internet anonymity anyhow :)

    -Doug

Hah! Was wondering who this mysterious 'Doug L' person was :D

Had an absolute ball!! Can't *wait* for next year. And sold for the first time ever. I'm off to find out when the Veterinary society have their AGM so I can camp outside :)

Anyone who hummed and hawed and didn't get around to it this year, do it next year - you won't regret it. And we had the biggest presence this year for the first time too :)

 does da_kar know about this ? And here was me thinking you were a one-vet photographer.

"I'm sorry, da_kar, but it's not me, it's you. I feel I need to see more splenectomies, or move into the horse side of things. Maybe some exotics. you're STIFLING me ! STIFLING !"

I posted this picture on my flickr that I took on Sunday with my iPhone...

    4938474568_d098ae199a_m.jpg

Apparently the girl with the white dog has a web business selling cardboard letters via the internet. She copied the picture from my flickr and put it on her facebook page. I asked her to take it down as she hadn't asked my permission, I only found it on her page by chance and that kind of stuff kind of annoys me.

Then I had this comment this morning on flickr-

"Please remove this image of me and my dog from your Flickr account or any other web source or publication as you did not obtain my permission to photograph me, nor do you have a model release for me or my dog. Thanks!
    Suzanne"

Tell her to get stuffed as you don't need her permission as she's in a public place :)

Looks like everyone had a great time. I think I may have to do it next year.

Of course, it's not all about making sales, but it's about showing your stuff.

There was some really great images on display, and I'm glad I made time to wander around on Sunday and have a look.

Deadly weekend! was lovely to meet loads of you - though I was possibly a little shy about meeting most, I have lots of faces & lots of names, just didnt quite match all of them up! :)

Had a great weekend, just like last year, and can't wait till next year! though apparently spending 2 days outside without much in the way of woolies has led me to this sad state of tissues piled to the skies and lemsips aplenty :( have a monster of a cold!

Anyway, yes, wonderfully fun weekend, was nice to take my silly stick figures out for a walk, was a weekend of watching passer-by necks turn and guffaw!

Finally, after going to bed the last two nights at half nine I recovered from this weekend:D
Even though it seems like it was stressful for me (nervous as a newbie, shy about potential customers ...) I absolutely enjoyed it and suppose I'll do it again - given that I'm not again on a course next year;)

Thanks to everyone I met and especially T & M for the excellent food.

Oh, my display on Saturday. Sunday changed a little but had only a film camera with me.

I dropped by early on the Saturday morning, some displays still in the process of hanging at that stage, had a good walk along and stopped to chat with a few (boardies) owners of photos I reconised from here. When I turned the corner I reconised Humber but he was to busy to say hello to. Also I didn't introduce myself to anyone dont know why really, probably cause the name wouldn't mean anything.

Anyway there was alot of fine work on show, really liked the panoramics on one display and also the "Redtree studio?" portraits stuff made an impression. The Chinese guy (prolly way off here) had an interesting collection and the best pegs, that dark forest photo in Antrim was also excellent in print, and a great set of black and whites in all.

Really enjoyed it and will come again / love to exhibit in the future.

Heres one I caught on my way back down Grafton Street from the Green.

Got mine developed yesterday! I had 2 camera's to my use on the weekend - this album is shot with Xia's (Petra) Russian Lomo thingie (which I want because it's cool). Couldn't remember what everyones names were again - so do leave a comment if I didn't name you!

    Album here.

Soon to follow are the MAD pics from that tank of a camera that nearly ruined my mental health, the Mercury Univex. And oh boy, are the results weird! But, I take back all the abuse I hurled at over the weekend and now love it for it's particular form of insanity!

I wanted to get talking to her actually, only managed a quick chat with her boyfriend her prints were far and away the best of the boards bunch, and I think the best on display on the whole green. Anyone know her at all? Must PM..
