Just wondering where the cheapest car park is in Cork city? Am going to be down there during the week and I usually park in Paul St, but last time it cost almost €20 for about 5 or 6 hours.

I would use one the Park and Ride near the Kinsale roundabout if you are not carrying anything heavy.

White Street car park is a good bet too.

Jurys hotel used to have parking under the hotel at a good price. Might be worth giving them a shout.

The train station car park is only €6 for 24 hours, and is only a ten minute walk to the city centre. It's very convenient indeed. There's always loads of space too and it isn't like one of those head wrecking multi-storey car parks where it's almost impossible to get your car into the space (when you actually find a space, that is).

The train station car park is beside John McCarthy Motorpoint, (main Saab and Jeep Dealer). It's actually behind the train station, not on the main road, but next to Motorpoint. Your car will be safe too, with security and cameras.

Btw, it's more of a public car park than a car park used by people using the train. It's bloody huge too and you'll always get a space (even at christmas). You'll always get a space down the back.

It's hardly very convenient, let's be honest :)

Park and ride is your best bet unless you have lots of heavy things you need to transport.
