How much tax do we pay to the government per pack of cigarettes?

I've been trying to find out, but I can only find an article about a 2 years ago, which says we pay 61% tax on fags. At the time of writing the article cigs cost 7.40 for 20, of which 4.50 went straight to the government in tax. Does anyone know how much it is now? A pack costs roughly 8.45 now. I wonder how much a year…

A pack costs roughly 8.45 now. I wonder how much a year the government gets from our smoking. I'm reading Allen Carrs book again, (for the 3rd time in a few years) hoping to give up when I finish the book.
