Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Thought he just swung a leg at it at first, but it was actually a very composed sidefoot. Has looked very good for CSKA, with his marketing potential to go with his talent, the price they paid looks an absolute steal (yet another one Liverpool missed out on having been interested)

Giving a fairly defensive Japan side something to defend is not necessarily a good thing for the game...

Almost missed the goal due to watching the match with the sound off

Honda's been motoring well all game to be fair to him. If anyone was going to score or create something, it was going to be him.

Honda is very highly rated in Russia and the Japanese feel he could be their next star which they havent really had since Hidetoshi Nakata. If he grabs a few more goals im sure there will be a few teams from the big leagues sniffing around.

Honda's put Japan in the driving seat.

Ah, there was 19 fouls in that half and the Japan keeping stayed down for a bit after taking a fall. I'm going to assume that all had something to do with there being some injury time.

Finally thought of a good joke

I got it, and even had a little laugh.

Only started watching this around the half hour mark. Cameroon have looked a lot better than Samurai Blue but just can't seem to get a decent shot away.

So 30 mins left, either it is going to filled with entertaining football or more likely jokes about Honda

Dropping Alexandre Song for the guys Cameroon have in midfield was a shocking call

I would have if he was a more integra part of their team.

I wasnt expecting the goals to fly in, but this is ridiculous.

Iv unpacked all my stuff (just moved home from Dublin) and Ive done all the ironing and checked my email, fed the cat put on a washing and hung it out, and still nothing has happened.
as for the goal. good goal but really dodgy defending.

    15 mins left. :(

The end of this match is actually quite good, and not because its the end of the suffering. Both teams have hit the post in the last 5 mins.

Cameroon should have shown that sort of urgency for the whole game. Another ****e game tbh.

Roll on Spain and Brazil and the 2nd round of group fixtures
