Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I'm reading The Táin at the moment and they keep talking about chariots. I'm just wondering what (if any) archaeological evidence there is for chariots in Ireland. I would love to see what they looked like as I only get the image of the Hollywood designed chariots when they are mentioned.

I think a wooden wheel was found close to a section of the Corlea Bog Road in the 1980s. If there were chariots they would more than likely have been similar to the ones found in Britain. See Tacitus' 'Agricloa' for a description of these. Search web for images of the excavated examples.
