Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Thanks to the encouragement I received here on boards.ie I plucked up the courage to enter my first photo competition. British Airways Highlife Magazine are running a travel photography competition. You have to submit a photo and it then has to be accepted before it can be voted on.

This morning I got an Email to tell me that my entry had been accepted. I entered a photo I call "Umbrian Dawn", it's one I posted to the Random Photo Thread (http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?p=66098386#post66098386) and got a few thanks for. It's down to that that really gave me the encouragement to submit the photo.

I want to stress I'm not looking for members here to vote on this, I just wanted to share and highlight how forums like this do help people progress.

Here is the shot on the Highlife site: http://www.bahighlife.com/Competitions-and-Offers/Photo-Competition/Gallery/View.html?EntryId=3807

I have no expectations to progress any further and I'm happy that the photo was accepted (no idea what the criteria was, don't want to know ;)).

Just wanted to say thanks to folks here for the encouragement!
