That's the right answer. r=2c means they are on the same line.

sorry but just think about it for a second....in the question for part one we are taking CB to be OA and thus Q is c + 1/2 a..... but tho CB is A they aren't on the same line so r=2c doesnt mean its on the same line!

was doing really well but for some stupid reason took too much time and only had 5 mins for q8. Other than that I did quite well. Along with a pretty good paper 1 aswell I definetly got the honour and maybe with a bit of luck a B3

That's a mess, and completely wrong, despite the correct answer. There are 6! ways for the 2nd bit, and 6.6! for the first.

    Excuse me?

Although your method is 100% correct, as is mine, there's no need to multiply by the 6! as order does not matter in this question.

You said the number of possible outcomes was 1. It wasn't. It was 6!. Therefore, regardless of how you care to phrase it, or what you arbitrarily decide "matters", what you stated was wrong.

It wasn't hideous, but where were the proofs?! I spent ages learning them for paper one and two and the only one I didn't learn was there. Damn you difference equation!

Holy crap I thought i was going to die of happiness when i saw the exam!! The circle and the line have always been my worst questions, i can usually never even do the part As, but i got them done, i was so freakin happy :D the option was pretty hard, that sin^2 x killed me trying to get out and i didnt get it right, but god bless attempt marks :D

    i hoping i got a c1 in it :D

woo!! go vectors! never have to do maths again in our lives!! unless you choose to that is! :P
man i love vectors! but what did you get for the 2 values of k? did you get whole numbers? i got 2 tooootally terrible, wrong answers :(

I thought paper 1 was waaayy nicer than paper 2, trig and Q8 were disgusting! But then again, Maths is DEFINITELY not my strength. Just want enough points so that it was worth doing higher level. Thought the vector question was nice enough, but I didn't get values for k in part b I don't think, I mean I know it was really simple but for some reason it was not working for me!

Paper 1-wise... did anyone else think the Algebra and the integration were ridiculously easy? I'm worrying we're gonna have a serious b*tch of a marking scheme now... eek!!!

Oh yea I got mixed up there sorry. Yes CB is = OA.

And OR = 2OC which is written as R = 2C. Has to be from the origin so it is right.
