I started a thread a while ago about downgrading from 4.0 to 3.1.3. I got an error message so downloaded the irecovery thing from a website. Only thing is, i have no idea how to get it to work. Can someone give me an absolute idiots guide to getting my phone working again.

Its stuck on the itunes/usb screen.

Would you have to downgrade iTunes, then plug it in, and do a restore?

Which version of 9? AFAIK, you have to use the beta version of 9.2, which will only restore 4.0. Therefore downgrade iTunes to 9.1.1 and that should allow you to restore to 3.1.3, as it won't be able to access 4.0 without the latest iTunes.

Can you describe the restore process exactly? YouTube it?
