It doesn't really sound like a field, per se, it sounds like a general IT manager role.

That would encompass planning, budgeting, managing IT for a larger organisation, I would imagine.

As to whether there are any jobs, well anywhere there are computers, there will be a need for an IT department, however small. And IT departments are going to need managers.

However, I would imagine it would be a senior enough position, one you would get after 10-15 years experience, not something you would walk into after a four year degree.

you will be manily working with information systems, Supply chain management, logistics, MIS, TPS and operations as a ISM.

Depending on the course, you could become a sys lead in info sys or a system anaylists. these are high paid jobs after 1-2 years of work experiance from out of the degree.

depending on the course also you will get a workplacement for 9 months which will also help with expeirance. A good course overall if your into management and IT.

Another course like that would be Business Information systems in NUIG and UCC
