Is it possible to claim rent relief and mortgage interest relief at the same time?

We moved from our house in Cork to Kildare due to work and are now renting there. The house in Cork is rented out to tenants. We are claiming mortgage interest relief on that but wondering if it's still possible to claim rent relief on the current place. Any ideas?

You have to be living in the house to claim mortgage interest relief on it.

"Section 2: What is a Qualifying Mortgage?

A qualifying mortgage for the purpose of interest relief is a secured loan, used to purchase, repair, develop or improve your sole or main residence, situated in the State. You can claim tax relief in respect of the interest paid on this loan or mortgage."
