Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

There is a chance of this England side if they get through meeting... Germany. Can you imagine the pace of that German side against England? You might see the revenge of the 5-1.

I agree he should have been in the squad. He is far better than SWP

Rooney is all over the place, his second touch has been a tackle pretty much every time tonight

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,178 ✭✭✭_Bella_

Rooneys first touch on the ball everytime has been awful!

Has Lampard touched the ball this half?

Why on earth is Heskey still on. FFS take a chance take him off put Gerrard up front and Cole on the left.

Tyldesley is infuriating. Loves the sound of his own voice.

Walcott was terrible in the warm up matches.

He didn't deserve to be taken to the WC tbh.

Whatever about the rights and wrongs of playing Heskey, he clearly isn't working out tonight. Get Crouch on. They're not passing it. They might as well hit it long to somebody who can actually control a header under pressure.

Lordy, that was close, Thank fook Hesky hit it

Some magic is needed, and Joe Cole could provide that. Even Crouch would do.

Did anyone hear him say, "this isn't the Gerrard we seen at Liverpool this season"..

It is you biased **** Andy. Liverpool finished 7th was partly to do with it. But no gloss over it as if Gerrard ha been world class all year.

The England team that didn't go. Anyone think they'd do better?

    K - Paul Robinson
    D - Micah Richards
    D - Wes Brown
    D - Joleon Lescott
    D - Wayne Bridge
    M - Theo Walcott
M - Paul Scholes (Although he did turn it down.)
    M - Scott Parker
    M - Stewart Downing
    S - Darren Bent
    S - Bobby Zamora

Be interesting to see how an England A Vs England B international would play out.

A squad of Championship players would do better. I think big time Charlie's at big clubs all being mixed in together is a problem for them. It's the same with the Dublin GAA team imo. A lot of big heads come together and their good qualities evaporate for some reason.

the only thing that might save England tonight is Algerias overall lack of quality in front on goal. If they were really able to threaten James, and really looked like being able to score, England would need to be very worried. Saying that, I wouldn't rule out a goal from the Algerians either.

What the hell is Heskey doing, back playing as a bloody centre half several times tonight. If it was a midfielder back doing that, I could understand, but FFS he's not.
