Just to clarify, these will expire at the end of September and it will turn off, no matter how many you buy? So you can't keep just buying the vouchers can you?

picked this up in hmv yesterday in anticipation of the liverpool arsenal game and the Uspga final round. Got home and opened the pack about half hour before the footie and the two cards were missing. A call to hmv got me sorted with the codes but the match had started and then when I went into my sky to set up skyplayer it wouldn't recognise the code as I have a sky account with the basic channels. My good wife suggested setting it up in her name and voila we got it
working in time to see Joe Cole sent off :( I have noticed that about 4 of the movie channels are available to me Family, Action, Premiere and one other too!
I think I'll end up using it from the pc more often so wont bother getting another xbox live sub after three months are up if I can still use it on the pc only. The remote will come in handy for dvds and the like too. Now to find a few cheap monthly sky player codes!

smyths have it for €19.99 for most places it's
Availability: Low Stock - Means that we think it's there but we're not 100% sure

best chances of getting one seem to be Tallaght or Cork

I only got my 360,and really want this :(

Clicked the link in the op and said error, does this mean it's gone or is it worth a shot going to my local Argos ?

Would love to pick it up,how much was it in HMV ? Might be there tomorrow.

24.99, dearer than the others but they seem to be sold out. I got mine in
Liffey valley SC. Harvey Normans have been known to stock them too.

See my Gold is about to expire very soon :( don't think you can use sky sports without gold can you ?

So might as well go for the 3 months and Sky sports.

Going into town soon to try pick one up anyway,if anyone has a link to the bundle (with 3 months) for €20 or less that would be great...

Could someone please explain this to me. I tried reading about it and getting prices but it's very hard. I hate the sky website.

So once you get this package you can watch Sky sports on the 360. I get that much.

You need a Gold subscription to use it?

Do you need to pay anything monthly to Sky?

You need Gold to watch in through Sky Player on xbox...yes.

But you can also watch on the internet without Gold subscription.

If you sign up through xbox I assume you have to give CC details but once youve activated you can cancel your subscription as mentioned before straight away so you arent charged monthly at the full whack.

On a side note I also read on some website somewhere about this offer regarding these vouchers that if you call up Sky they will extend the use of them for 12 months (i.e after September)

    bit confused by this too

i have an xbox 360 and got the live for 12 months which started in march or so.. so i take it thats the gold membership?

so if i get this package i can watch sky sports and the movies through the xbox?

also the smyths deal for 20 euro how long does it last 1 month, did someone mention 3months?

dont have sky sports so this would be ideal..also sky sports news is moving from free view next week

  • Registered Users, Subscribers, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,658 ✭✭✭✭antodeco

Dont bother ringing up Sky about it. They cant do anything (had an issue with codes before).

    You need gold membership
You will get the entertainment package and sports package for one month.
You will be required to register a credit card (but can cancel)
You will get 3 months gold membership, so will be added to the end of your current membership.

Yo folks, just wondering what the story is with cancellation?

Do you have to do it a certain number of days in advance of your sky sub running out?

If i cancel, will it have any impact on the service?

I cancelled immediately after setting it up, no impact whatsoever

I cancelled immediately after adding a code bought from gamepointsnow.com (original price about €8, but use the voucher code 'ntsc-uk' to get an extra 50p off the price). All channels are still accessible until one month after the code was used. Great fun watching the footy at the weekend.

is this the offer that's £6.95 and says you need a uk gamertag? So you"ve got a months package for €8? how did you find it through xbox? Just as good?

Just after signing up with a code from this site for €8.35 and I got myself a free month sky sports. Very decent quality too :D

    Hi lads,
would love to get this working for the new premier league season. Can some one give me some help with what I need to do?

I was going to get a code from www.gamepointsnow.com and set it up on my xbox. DO i need Xbox live gold membership which needs to be purchased separately?

Any advise is greatly app. Whats the quality for soccer on it?

Yep, it's £6.95 (sterling) and you can get an extra 50p off it with the code 'ntsc-uk'. It worked out at €7.97 when the exchange rate occurred.

It may say that you need a UK gamertag, but it still works on my irish gamertag. You do need to have a gold account, though - it doesn't work on Silver - but there are a few sites that offer great bargains on that (http://www.gamepointsnow.com, http://cheapxboxlivecodes.com/, etc.)

The picture quality is decent (I only have an SD TV) - I watched the Man U match on Sky Sports on Monday. And although the code doesn't include Sky Movies, you can still watch all of the on demand Sky Movies for no extra fee. Can't complain, really. If I watch two movies, I have saved the price of going down to XtraVision. :)

Does anyone know roughly how much data is used to watch a match?

dunno about a match but I watched surrogates last night and it said something like 763 Mb (about 90 mins) so I would assume that would be roughly the same for a match.

You know the way you have to set up a new account each time you want to use a new code? Do you have to provide a different email address too? Or is it just a different username?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 605 ✭✭✭Lmao_Man

    Picked one up in HMV.

If I use it before the 30th August will I be able to use another before the 30th September ?

If anyone has a spare PM me,will pay you abit through paypal :)

You dont need a new account. You just cancel the subscribtion, which can be done straight after subscribing, and then next month just input another code from the same account. No new username or anything else required.

I was under the impression you had to set up a new account for every new code, thanks for that.

If you scroll down on this page to Sky player sub and add to cart, it should work... I ordered one few minutes ago and it worked fine

The code on its own lets you watch the 4 movie channels even though they are not on the list, I think it's a glitch.

If you want access to the on Demand movies you will need to spend an extra €9.50 after you put in the sub.

Cool, I saw a few comments back that someone said they had access to the On Demand Movies, but maybe they meant only the Live Movie channels.

could you set it up so that your CC details are linked to a 3v card? been meaning to get Sky for a month but not too keen on the CC details part in case they still charge me or I forget to cancel...

I've watched a few of the on demand movies and shows with no charge.
It's so handy through the 360
