    I'm in the same boat.
They just said on 2fm that the difficulty of the comprehensions will be compensated for in the marking scheme. :D Thank gawd..

I fúcked that up something serious. And said goodbye to my course. FANTASTIC.

Reading all these answers here I know I completely messed it up aswel. My course next year (which I seriously want) is definitely gone but not just from French. I've found a lot of the papers really horrible. I really hope both of our courses go down and we still get in!!
craaaap I wrote during >.< and I was so proud at getting the war bit...

I wrote during aswel and then realised other people wrote before so changed my answer on this, I only got the answer the last time we heard that section and was so happy to have the answer I didn't hear what came before it.

You're going for Science in Trinity, aren't you? I really hope you get in! :D I'm sure the exams up 'til now went better than you think. I'm in the same boat, though....English was nowhere near what it needed to be and I found aspects of Irish to be tricky. And just now, looking at the answers people have posted about the tape...the STUPID mistakes I made, ugh. But, you never know. Stay positive and all that. :)

G'luck with the rest of them! <3

To all of you people who are kicking themselves now: don't! You really will be surprised with results (either pleasantly or...the other kind) especially if you've been nitpicking your papers or predicting your scores. We all do it I suppose but don't be disheartened by it, or elated by it either - you just don't know yet.

The changes are not still visible, but the reform is
running. A year after the announcement Fifteen new measures
obtain a driver's license, the Secretary of State for Transport is
Today the point. Draft permit reform has been initiated
to improve road safety. First, to meet
criticism that many slides used during
the theory test too complicated, changes have
been made. One hundred Questions have been removed or
reformulated. Furthermore, one hundred fifty-nine others have made their
appearance and focus on themes new, such as eco-driving and
    addictions (alcohol, drugs).

    2. Practice Tests conduct have also been redesigned.
Instead of losing points to each error, in the future candidate
it will receive for his conduct General. For this, a new
evaluation grid has been designed. To pass, candidates must
obtain at least 20 points on 30 and not make mistakes
playoffs, for example, grilling a red light or stop sign and drive on
emergency lane. It will also be courteous
to other users, including pedestrians and
cyclists. This way of being in Driving will be crucial.
The examiner must now assess the general behavior
    driver.

    3. The other important point of
    possible reform concerns
    waiting for exams.
    At around five months in
    certain departments, they would
    largely decreased. Now we
known to reduce the waiting time is also
    lower cost of the license,
    candidate who most need
    pay for driving lessons to
not to lose the hand before
    examination. Various measures have been
    taken and particularly affect the
    inspectors. Thirty new
    officials arrived in
    reinforcement in 2009 and twenty
    be appointed this year. On
    voluntary basis, all can
    now work on Saturdays.
    4. But, although considered
    necessary, reform the permit
    inspires skepticism and fear to
    inspectors, who see a
evil eye the appearance of notes
    on the evaluation grid. They
fear the telescoping of a copy
well noted and the arrival of an accident
    serious few days later.
"If the note is published in the
press, this will be the worst
    effect. For others, this reform
    may lead many
    disappointments. "The French are
    confident that after the
    reform, they will get more
    easily permit. However, only
    shape may change, but the
background risk does not vary. "
    5. Among the objections, the new
    software installed progressively
in the context of this reform,
    works very badly. "We must
    through this software to capture
    candidate results. But
    return four small data,

    are already overburdened. "The

    the old system. "We worked
with the Minitel, an old tool but
    at least it worked! "But

(This story takes place in Senegal, Africa. Khady young woman of 25 years, finds himself without family
money after the death of her husband. She is forced to move in with her parents who do not like and
    want to leave.)
    1. One night the stepmother, threatening voice, eyes
    mercilessly, called Khady.
    - You must go. You'll work as
Fanta home for cousin, who married a
White and now lives in France. Here's
address. If you're there, at home, you give us
will send money. You must not return here.
Khady stifled a groan. She did not speak,
asked no questions, and his terror was so great that it
had nausea. His two step-sisters pretended
sleep. Because they were never certain
Khady review, they preferred to avoid the trouble of
    salute or throw a glance.
    2. In the street, a man was waiting, dressed in
Western. The stepmother gave her quickly
some banknotes which he stuffed into his pocket
without even looking. Khady tried to hang
the arm of the old woman, but she pushed
with an impatient hand, quickly returned to within the
house and closed the door behind her.
    - Come, it's there, "said the man with a voice
    neutral, low.
He began to walk down the street without bothering
Khady ensure that followed well, as if, having
been paid once and for all, he mocked what
she decided to do. This indifference vis-à-vis
her feel a little Khady. She hurried on as
    men before she walked faster.
    3. A man across the Avenue of Independence and
turned on the Boulevard of the Republic towards
Then he stopped the sea near a small group of
persons responsible for packages. Khady put his bag and
sat on it. She half closed her eyes, leaving
his eyes a slit through which she could see
come and go from a nervous man in charge of
drive. Towards what destination? She dared not
ask. A shiver of anxiety troubled her. It
    was hungry and thirsty now.
Later, the man grabbed her by the arm. "Go
come, come, "he whispered his voice irritated, and Khady
began trotting behind him, on the sandy street. The
group was now walking in a line spontaneously
organized. The darkness was deep and heavy. The
last houses disappeared. Khady could hear
the crashing waves nearby, she distinguished
other lights on the side of the sea
    4. Khady felt pushed into the back, driven by
a sudden increase in the group to the sea water
overwhelm their sandals. Then she discerned forms
a boat. People before it entered the water,
lifting their luggage over their heads, then
hoisted into the boat, pulled by those who were
already. Khady could glimpse in the clear yellowish
faces calm, anxious, before ending up ellemême
advancing awkwardly in cold water, throwing
his bag in the boat, leaving the arms haul up
inside. She crouched against one side of
boat. A smell uncertain, putrid rose wood.
Khady remained so dazed, while still climbing
in the boat so many people it
afraid of being stifled, crushed. She stood up,
staggering. Taken with terror, she spent a leg
overboard from the boat, grabbed his bag, lifted
the other leg, and jumped into the water. She returned to the beach
wading, and exhausted, fell into the sand.

I'm so upset about what I did.
I was so stressed for history and I made such a mess of the two comprehensions because I was so wrecked from studying history late last night and in the morning. I'd say I got about 5 answers right. I'm devastated. Writing went ok and listening ok-ish but the damn comprehensions are worth 30% of it :(

Thank you =) Yeah it's the only course I really want so hoping the points don't go up. I was close in my mocks but they seemed a lot easier (although I'm sure I didn't think that when I was waiting for the results!) French, Business and English didn't go well and Geography was harder than I hoped. Gah! I'm trying not to think about it and staying positive is definitely the way to go.
Really hope you get your course too, my fingers are officially crossed for the both of us. Good luck with the rest of yours too!

For the 'cite the phrase which shows the workload of examiners has increased' question i literally quoted 'mais donner quatres petites données passe desormais une heure' or something like that. I'm sure that's it but did anyone get the same?

Looking at the translations of the comprehensions, I feel sick. :(
I found it really difficult compared to other years, and I'm usually quite good at french.
Oh well! Here's hoping they mark it kindly.

If anyone wants the answers to the aural here they are. Obviously I'm only typing out what I can remember I wrote, but I'm pretty sure it is to the word of what I wrote. I've never gotten less than 76/80 in a tape before so I think it'd be fair enough to say most of these are right, unless they get fussy with the marking scheme....

    Section 1:
    1) Open a surf shop by the sea
    2) She is obliged to by her parents
    3) To only have to attend the family meal once a month
    4) Of being attacked by the groups
    Section 2:
    1) When watching the film Indiana Jones
    2) Spend hours studying the subject in the library/ to find a location that has never been excavated before by foot, by car or even in a plane/to get permission from the state
    3) They are down on their knees all the time on the soil/ they have to carry heavy weights around/ they have to live peramantly on the site with all the other members of the team, this isn’t always easy
    4) A bone graved with the Taurus star sign
    5) That she was the first person to have touched the object (I may have remember to say ‘bone’) for over 15 thousand years
    Section 3:
    1) That they had just bought a house
    2) When the owner of the building increased the rent by 10%-this isn’t acceptable these days
    3) Because she will have to take two buses to get to work in the morning
    4) It goes directly to the factory where he works
    5) Before the Second World War
    6) There is the a big hole in the roof that the rain can get in through
    Section 4
    1) When they find out that there are no more dishes of the day left at 11 euro
    2) By making a grimace/ refusing to by it (and I think, though I scribbled it out, by trying to haggle)
    3) They give less in tips than they used to/if they do give tips it is only small change
    4) They look for the cheapest prices in the nearby bars by passing by and by again.
    5) His bar is well placed in a tourist area
    Section 5
    1) 17:45 (I’m pretty sure a reference to the day may have been there as well, perhaps ‘hier’ but I didn’t get it)
    2) Minister of Health
    3) Internet sites that are aimed at young people
    4) Because of problems with the remote control

OMFG I GOT ALMOST EVERY SINGLE ONE :D:D:D

My worst section was Section 3 though, for Q2 I even had the "10" part but I was like "10 euro increase? No that doesn't seem bad enough!" - can't believe I didn't think of percent!

Also, for Section 2 Q5, are you sure it was 15 thousand? I could have sworn it was cinquante mille.

You don't know that I'm right! It just seems to make the most sense to me when I think back over it. There's nothing to say that they won't allow a little bit of overanswering, or indeed it could be underanswering on my part for all we know!

I thought it was a fair paper...not too complex. I didn't like that we had French the day after Irish though, while those doing German have three days to get Irish out of their heads!
I kept thinking of Irish phrases....plus I hadn't let myself look at French since Saturday because I didn't want to confuse it with Irish during papers one and two...!
