no i wont unsub because $ony made it that we need ps+ to play online.

Well that's it then really isn't it? :)

Unfortunately you will not unsub as you feel like the fee is necessary, which means, by your logic, Sony would get your money once they provided online play alone. The games aren't necessary to keep you paying. Not a lot of leverage for you to apply now?

Worth thinking as well, for the price of a year of ps+, you could have bought knack at launch. How pissed would you be if you had chosen that option? :D

Well hey it's better than Killzone or Knack, both of which a calculator could design.

Jaysus, do we have to go through this every month.

Knack is actually a decent game, it's a game for kids and it delivers, I don't know why adults want to complain about it.

What utter nonsense, some of the best games on the PS4 to date have been the games on Plus. There's more wit, imagination and fun to be had in Stick it to the Man or Resogun than you'll find in a hundred Killzone titles. I hope that even when we start seeing big titles Sony will continue to give us an indie game each month alongside it.

MLB The Show is a great game, not sure how many people would be interested in it over here though, but it will not be on PS+ for another year at least.

Its baseball season over here at the mo so it's getting a lot of demo time in game stores, gotta say it's a stunning looking game in places.

on the webstore it says that i've purchased all versions of plus & even if i try to purchase it, it'll say this content can't be downloaded to your system or similar.
anyone know what's the issue there?
& is there any reason (apart from not being able to play the games) not to let it lapse & resub at the end of next month to get the games before they change

TBH I dont know why anyone is complaining with having to pay their PS+ Sub.

The games so far have been great little games that I would never have gone near before

Don't Starve - This game alone I have sank a couple of hundred hours into already. Dam even my better half plays it all the time on the ps4.

Resogun - Another great little game that would never have gotten a look in before yet I still go back and play it.

Contrast - Havent played much yet but I am due to get a round to it soon.

If i didnt have all the above games I probably would have went out and bought a few games and none of them bar wolfenstein interest me on the PS4 at the moment.

For value for money the PS+ is brilliant and soon there will be top AAA games released on it.

Couldn't agree more. Most of the titles I'd never of played only for plus and I've been delighted with them so far. Pixeljunk shooter is a prime example of this, great little game but something I wouldn't normally have looked at.

The obvious benefit of getting the free indie games and titles that don't get a lot of exposure otherwise, and so on, is that we get exposed to the full variety of unique and all-round fun games library that Playstation, I feel (along with Steam), offers over the more mainstream focused Xbox and the more in-house developed Nintendo library.

  • Registered Users Posts: 12,539 ✭✭✭✭Varik

The middle tier publishers and developers has completely fallen out of the industry, a game now needs to be AAA big budget and mass appeal to succeed or small indie.

My hope is the the success from of these indie games on the consoles will allow a new generation of middle tier developers to grow and allow for creative bigger budget games to fill the gap.

Folks, a question on PS+ that I haven't seen in the FAQ. There is no way in a million years I'm giving my credit card details to Sony - anyone with such a previous history in giving zero figs about security will fluff up again so I'm looking to purchase a PS+ sub from elsewhere. The XBox forum has a thread with places to get a bargain but I don't see a similar one here. Are they region specific like the XBL Gold?

Just pay Sony direct by PayPal, which I believe they accept.

I used to use those sites for cheaper xbox gold keys too but so far the ps+ sub is the same price everywhere especially since its country specific

There are sales a few times a year but who knows now that it's required if we'll see if any more.

Got 3 years ages ago for a song.

You can buy codes from shops that add 20/50 euro to your account or a code that will give you 1 year PS+. They are rarely on sale, sometimes Sony might have a deal but its been awhile since I saw one.

Just picked up Season 2 of the Walking Dead on PS3. Only €5.84 with Plus in the Deal of the Week. Absolute bargain. It's €8.99 on the Vita for some reason. That game should really be cross buy.

Considering this thread is an unofficial PSN store thread as well I'll stick this here.

I was about to buy something on the web store and it's changed the past after the proceed to checkout. Now it has order & play and new terms about cancelling such as a lack of a cooling off period.

I played a bit of Lone Survivor, its basically an 8bit Silent Hill. It seems like it has a lot of potential, I need to give it a proper go.

Started playing it on the PS3, I gave it a few hours and honestly, I don't really like it. Like yourself I'll have to go back to it and give it another go. I just couldn't get into it!

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,575 ✭✭✭DeSelby83

Ye i agree with that about lone survivor. Its ok but doubt I'll go back to it, i tend to do that with a lot of ps+ games
