I'd say they are being pulverized with downloads of Hitman and Cathrine. Whatever about saving huge money with Plus a little bit is being lost in ESB bills downloading everything. 2x PS3 with Hitman & Cathrine and 15gb for BF3 Premium in one night. Getting my monies worth from Sky but fibre can't come soon enough.

Always try to download early morning of a psn+ release day. I'm not sure what earliest time it works
Sure is not at midnight I've tried. Earliest I got is around 10am.

I intended to turn the PS3 on this morning before I left the house so it could download Hitman while I was away, but forgot. It's going to take ages to get that one installed. Fortunately I have loads to do in the meantime!

For some reason I had the idea that Thomas Was Alone was only going to Vita. I'm delighted to be able to play it on PS.

Really? I don't think it was originally announced with the other 3 PS3 games. Was wondering why there were 4 games to be added to my download list, since that wasn't due on the Vita until later in the month.

I've had my downloads running all last night and all today and hitman is just after hitting 80%. Its mental how big some of the games are. I don't think any other game on plus was even close to that size.

Ratchet and Clank All 4 One pushes it, but not sure what size exactly.

I downloaded that a while ago. It was 16GB.

    I downloaded MLB:2013 a while back, 23GB. Was horrible

Mine stopped downloading at 76% after 5 1/2. . . my broadband is exceptionally slow this evening, courtesy of eircom.

edit: actually it still downloads but at an extremely slow pace - in the last 45 minutes it went from 76% to 80%.

Malicious is disappointing. Its just 6 boss fights that you choose in a random order, was expecting a lot more. Controls and camera are bad too.

Malicious is basically a tech demo, not nearly polished enough to be the intense, elegant combat system it wants to be. I played it at release after Retr0 kept saying it was the greatest thing since sliced bread, but I have to admit I found it a chore even when I realised the game's quirks. Dynasty Warriors meets Devil May Cry - unfortunately more the former than the latter.

Unfinished Swan is 50% off for the weekend. Plus another 10% for Plus members. Not gone live let but think would work out at about €5.90 or so

*[4] - Europe received Knytt underground the day of release in December 2012.
(new) - the game was given out when it was released.

So a couple quid saved then? :P

I'll start playing them annnny minute now.
Think Limbo is the only one of those that I've played so far, not counting ones I'd already owned before being given away

As someone who just got a PS3 with PS+, I really didn't need to see that list.
It does encourage me to hang on to the sub however.

That's not the full list. That is just the list since Sony called it the Instant Games Collection. If you include EVERYTHING we got, you could probably double the count [although very few platinum/retail games]

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 698 ✭✭✭sin0city

I'd have paid the sub for Sleeping Dogs alone.

Again. REALLY dont need to hear that ;)

All I can say is the collection of vita games I downloaded when I didn't have a vita is the reason I ended up buying one. OK so there might have been a bottle of wine involved as well but the intent was there.

PS+ really is an excellent service, and if you only download one or two games a year it pays for itself. If you download more then you just need to figure out how to play them all...

Ultimately, you don't. Unless you just don't go out or don't have a job. Could think of worse ways to while away a few months on the scratch.

Put Hitman on my que....not fired up the PS3 in weeks, i'm done buying retail or second hand PS3 games. No point since i'm waiting for the PS4.

Finding it hard to save up though!....only 150 quid saved, should have double that by now!

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,190 ✭✭✭kensutz

I kept putting off buying Plus for 8 weeks or more. While discussing with a few lads on here I decided to take the plunge last week so I could benefit having 2 months worth of games in the space of a few days. It's probably the best €50 I have spent on gaming in quite a long time and will keep me busy when I get bored of the likes of Battlefield etc.

Do you get a notification when your subscription is almost ended? And if i buy a years subscription now, does that just extend my current one by a year

I think it's set up to automatic renewal.
The subscription stacks, so buy a year and it is added onto your current sub.

I was always interested in picking up Catherine so I was delighted to hear it'd be coming to IGC.

Now I'm away from the PS3 for the weekend at least and I'm aching to get playing it again. It's a brilliant game. Playing it on normal and it's a serious challenge although I will say I've no fear of losing as I've a ridiculous amount of retries.

    Still highly recommend it.

What way does it work? Do you get to keep the games after you download them as long as you keep up the subscription or do they stop working after a certain date.

    Cheers

Yeah you get to play them until your subscription expires.
