What way are we thinking on this one lads??

I think Argentina @4/9 PP is decent value!

    Under 2.5 goals @4/7 PP

I fancy Argentina to win the World Cup but you just never know with Maradona's tactics... The man is a header!

Yeah looking at that bet to try and get me back somewhere near back on track!
My only reservation would be balance of the side with veron out, he could try tevez in the middle like he ended last game but dont think he is that crazy.
Can see Korea adopting the usual underdog tactic so far of defending very deep and trying to hit on the break so could be hard to break down.
Despite this i cant see them holding out for 90 mins against argentinian attack, but with jonas and di michellis at the back a clean sheet is far from a certainty.

Sorry for sharing my doubts but the first week was tough on the pocket!!

Backing No Goalscorer @ 9/1 with Stan James.

The Asians are very good defenders and will park the bus like no tomorrow. Could see them shutting out the Argentinians if they stay focused.

Either that or Argentina will win 5-0.

Went for Argentina (-1) @ 6/4. Due a handicap at this stage.

I don't see much value in bets on this match. I have a small treble with SK to win, Greece-Nigeria to draw and Mexico to win. It pays well in the unlikely chance it happens.

SK are a dedicated unit and everybody does their fair share. They also have Park Three-Lungs. They are sure to give it their all and they have caused upsets in the past. I think I saw Park to get two goals at 66/1. I might put two squids on that just cos the Argie defense is a bit rickety with Jonas Gutierrez. I wouldn't be surprised if Park did a job on marking messi and SK got a few sly kicks in.

Messi for man of the match @ 7/2 looks a good bet.

Havent looked properly at anything else yet, but i can see him having another great game tomorrow and hopefully getting a few goals

11/2 to score 2 or more aswell.

8/11 under 2.5 is what lm gona do.

both teams are in the driving seat in this group and neither will want to lose especially korea so it might be a litle cagey.

might actually do the treble of under 2.5 for the 3 games tomorrow.

50 gets back 181 in ladbrokes.

    did that bet 2day :(

The 2nd round of games will bing more goals as many teams have to go for it, and I'm confident we'll see over 2.5 in plenty of games the next few days.

Overs in this one @ 7/5 on bf

Went for over 2.5 small bet also tenner on Argentina 3.1 win @ 14/1

If this match makes it to 0-0 at HT i think the Koreans may become a little bit disorganized and sit too deep giving a lot of space to Messi and Tevez who can beat players and shoot from distance. They beat Greece comfortably enough but around the 70th minute mark they let Greece get into a game they had no right being involved in. They have done it in their friendlies too. And you can't run out of steam against a team like Argentina in the final third. They looked very sharp against Nigeria and only for Enyeama, the Nigerian keeper, Messi alone could have had 3 or 4. I think this game could go along the lines of the Brazil v North Korea game. 0-0 at HT. And 2-1 to Argentina at FT.

Over 2.5 and Both teams to score might be something i'll have a look at. I don't think this will be low scoring game as i can't imagine S Korea putting every man behind the ball like some teams have done. They play with too much pace and energy for that and i imagine they fancy their chances against Argentina too much to sit back. If the finishing is a bit more clinical this could be another game to hit the overs.

Also might go for small stakes on 0-0 HT and Argentina 2-1 FT. And Maxi Rodriguez to score first.

South Korea to win. Just think they may pull it off. Who knows what to expect from Argentina under Diego. Nice price as well.

Exactly, why I think this is worth a little punt at the odds

    South Korea 1-0 & First goalscorer Park Ji-Sung 125/1

Also done the following double on booking points

    Arg/SK 25-45 points 2/1
    Gre/Nig 35-55 points 9/4

Check out http://worldreferee.com interesting to see how the referee's average out in match bookings and could help you decide

Argentina weren't good the last day, and south korea could be tricky for them. One moment of magic from messi is what they migt rely on.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,853 ✭✭✭Kod-box

    They weren't good?

They could have won 5-0 easily, passed it around well and were fairly organised imo.

    Scorecast:

    Park Chu Young, 1-1. 74/1.

    This is the one.

Given the amount of chances the wee fella created against a decent enough Nigeria team, Messi to score anytime @ evens looks like a nice little number surely!?

Evens on Messi looks a good price but with the lack of goals around the place, backing goalscorers is a no go imo. Messi for Man of the Match @ 7/2 looks good, what with the fans voting for it.

    Two bets;

Messi to score and Argies to win (6/4 with bruces)

And Messi for Man of the Match (If he scores he'll get it unless someone gets 2)
