Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Have this as a 1-1 draw in the work pool. Bottle of champers riding on it.

    I've got France 2-1

    When are the squads announced?

Has Malouda found favour with Domenech again? Will he start?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 53,262 ✭✭✭✭GavRedKing

Really tough to call this game, with Urugauy winning last night, France and Mexico, if they want to qualify top of the group have to beat one and other.

I fancy France to beat Mexico by 2 goals, 2-0, 3-1 etc etc.

Mexico werent that great at the back against S.Africa. Another draw for both teams would make each others final games very interesting, with Mexico having arguably the tougher draw against Urugauy but France would have to play a S.Africa team that could still qualify if they beat France and results go their way.

I reckon France will just shade it.

I'll just be glad when it's over and we won't have to hear RTE referring to France as "Irelands nemesis" on that silly ad again

2-1 to Mexico I reckon, although they really need to make more of their chances than they did agaist South Africa.

    From BBC:
Some interesting news from one of my spies who has been watching France train behind closed doors this week. I'm told Nicolas Anelka will continue as a lone striker in tonight's clash with Mexico (live on BBC One and this website) and Thierry Henry will again be used as a 'joker de luxe' (super sub). Interestingly, given the alleged rifts in the squad, one of coach Raymond Domenech's favoured players, the playmaker Yoann Gourcuff, is apparently going to be dropped on the request of Franck Ribery, who has taken on the role of team 'leader'

France have been using a 4-2-3-1 formation in training, with Franck Ribery in the centre behind Nicolas Anelka, Florent Malouda on the left and Sidney Govou keeping his place on the right..

How does it work do you buy two and get one free ?

Never mind saw the ad below! Basically you need to be one of the first 350

Delivery: I think you've to order another tenner's worth of stuff. So in effect it's just your bog standard 2 for 1 doorpie offer.

Collection: I believe no extra purchase is necessary. The pie's in question are 9 inches with 3 toppings, probably €8/9?

Meh, unless you're living next door to a branch it doesn't justify the trip to store in my mind. 'Guess it boils down to the old "value of your time" issue raised by the wait described in the half price fish n chips/xbox threads.

    just so you all know.
If mexico score you can get a free 9" pizza with 4 toppings from Pizzahut. if you order 10 worth of extras (easily done) there are no delivery fees, other wise I think its like €2 delivery charge or something like that.

Anyone else sick of the companies jumping on the anti-french bandwagon? Horrible way to do business imo.

Think France will have enough in them tonight to beat Mexico (hope they do anyway). They were the better side vs Uruguay but lacked that bit of umph. Could do with Malouda starting.

Yes you will, except South Africa will be our heroes as opposed to Mexico.

I actually don't think it is. You might think it is yourself, but it's gone embarrassingly overboard at this stage.

Have France as part of the 6 teams I have in a World Cup draw. Want them to win but wouldn't mind if Mexico scored for a bit o' pizza.

    Was just thinking that :D

If he brings as much to the Liverpool job as he has to the studio they are on to a winner,he seems to be the only British pundit they have on who has a clue.
