Mexico just need a bit more decisiveness in France's half. France are so lackadaisical they can afford to look up and take a small bit more time to pick the right pass. They hold onto the ball individually slightly too long and then not make the right decision. A few times in that half they've held onto possession not knowing what to do then lose it when there was support all over the place.

Really fancy Mexico here. France look disinterested.

Hasn't been the best of games this and if anyone deserves to be in front it's the Mexicans. Some truly awful defending from France at times, Gallas being the main culprit. The midfield aren't clicking at all. Not sure about this 4-2-3-1 with France. Probably should bring on Henry to liven things up a little up there. Anelka looks lost on his own and Ribery isn't doing anything of note down the centre.

Ribery doesn't have enough creativity or awareness to play a central role, leave him out on the wing where he can run at fullbacks. Anelka is dropping deep at times to try and get on the ball and that's just making things worse.

Mexico having similar problems up front though. They lack that match winner, good movement from Vela and Santos to get on the ball but then they didn't have the intelligence to link up with Franco.

A moment of individual brilliance (or awfulness) will decide this match, pretty tight.
