hedge in Claregalway

Hi, Does anyone know the hege / bushes growing in Claregalway ? It has both pink and white flowers and seems a bit wild. Its on the LHS as you drive into claregalway from the Tuam side - as you cross over the bridge and before the old raised bridge. Someone said Wild Rose ?? GM
