Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Where's the Big Sam option, I think he's a shoe in for the job.

    Hitzfeld....he should be there.

Not one manager on that list would be silly enough to take the job. He'd be on a hiding to nothing with zero money for new players and more than likely players being sold.

    Hitzfeld....he should be there.

He is done managing. He is not going to take another club. After Swiss he's going to retire.

    The choices are ****e.

    Roy Hodgson
Deserves a shot at a higher level. Could be a decent choice.

    Kenny Dalglish
    Bad idea. Pure sentimentality.

    Jurgen Klinsman
Not a successful manager. Can't understand why he'd be considered.

    Martin O Neill
Great manager but would he take it? Is it just swapping one US owned club chasing a CL place for another? Doesn't seem like the kind of guy that would switch so easily too.

    Sven Goran Erikksson
He is a good manager but I think Liverpool need someone concrete to take them through the next few years.

    Louis Van Gaal
No chance. He just got the the CL final and he would trade that for Liverpool's cash problems at the moment.

    Harry Redknapp
    He wouldn't take it.

    Guus Hiddink
He's definitely got better options than Liverpool.

I'd include Ottmar Hitzfeld in that list but I think he's gone the route of international manager so he's not working so much. He took a few years off and when he went back to Bayern full time, it didn't work out so well.

Pellegrini would be great and his teams play lovely football(which would make a nice change from Rafa) but would he come to England.

I guess this is a long way of saying I'd ask Hodgson but I'd try really hard to persuade Pellegrini.

Surely there are more candidates though.

    Roy Hodgson
Deserves a shot at a higher level. Could be a decent choice.

    Kenny Dalglish
The only manager who knows what it takes to win leagues in England.

    Jurgen Klinsman
G&H would love him. Enough said.

    Martin O Neill
    Over-rated in the extreme.

    Sven Goran Erikksson
    Spoofer

    Louis Van Gaal
No chance. He just got the the CL final and he would trade that for Liverpool's cash problems at the moment.

    Harry Redknapp
    He wouldn't take it.

    Guus Hiddink
He's definitely got better options than Liverpool.

Didier Deschamps is my outsider. Champions league proven. Won the league with Marseille. Young, Hungry and has played in England.
