Anyone tested a USB DVB-T tuner with DM800 or DM500HD?

Reading around on the Vu+ box, there appears to be similar images for the DM800 and DM500HD which also support the use of USB DVB-T devices as plugin tuners for DTT transmissions.

Has anyone with a dreambox tested these?

very unlikely to get a reply around here mate

try the larger sat specialised forums

the 500hd is also quite new,and requires a hardware modification to use the usb port, so unless you know what you re doing ( I don't!) ,people are unlikely to be using that feature

There seems to be a lot of people using them. The DreamElite forum shows all the support devices and there is a good lot of conversation about them. I am just waiting for a DVB-S2 USB device to be certified and my DM800's will turn into 8000's!

Yeah, I've been following some of the threads on the the Dreamelite forum. The aim of the post was to flag the additional functionality of the new images to the resident Dreambox owners here, and then to see how well they function in the Irish context (MPEG4 DVB-T) as compared to the Vu Duo receivers.

So if anyone gives this a go, could they report back how they get on - in particular do they have the same audio lag issue as the Vu boxes?

I have the 1.33E installed (therefore not the latest updated driver) and just got the Hauppauge WinTV Nova-T today.
Installed, configured and scanned and works fine (Irish DTT) - no audio delay at all.

I've tried this on both the VU+ Duo and my DM800
