Hi just a quick question here I decided to paint the bricks of my house( theres only one wall showing its bricks) and I want to use a gloss paint this time, my question is theres already emulsion paint on them will it matter if I just painted over them with gloss paint.

Well its not the proper base coat for gloss. I would apply a sealer then apply an undercoat then your gloss.

You might get away with it though, but be prepared when the winter comes the gloss might not hold...

To be honest I'd stick with emulsion for a long term solution...

I was guessing a sealer would be needed, any particular brand recommended?

I would use stablising solution, scrap off any flakey stuff first.
