Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Some that come on the phone can't be uninstalled on my desire so probably the same for you.

    Can you give some examples.

Most likely the apps in question are built into the ROM itself - therefore cannot be uninstalled

Apps that are built into the ROM can be uninstalled the following way:

Download Terminal emulator from the market. Put in the following:
    su
    mount -o rw,remount -t yaffs2 /dev/block/mtdblock03 /system
    rm /system/app/com.amazon.mp3.apk

The above code removes the Amazon MP3 app.

You need to put in the full name of the app which in this case is 'com.amazon.mp3.apk'.

You can find out the full name of the app by using a file manager such as Astro etc and navigating to the /system/app folder.

I did a quick Google search and it looks like it's more complicated than the usual rooting.
