Fair play great to see another activity and an outdoor one. i really think Sligo should be promoting itself as the "extreme" sport capital of Ireland. A lot of other counties have similar activities but not not close to the town. Nearly everything is within 15-20 minutes of Sligo town. forest, lakes rivers ocean and mountains.
Shadow just a heads up as well I got great reaction to a facebook page I set up for freedive ireland if your looking to get interest.

We go out airsofting near every saturday, the directions are on the website above.Even if u are just curious dont be afraid to call out to see what airsoft is like and about. The best times to call out for a look are before 10am or between 1&2pm because we will be out playing. But stay in the carpark if nobodys around because plays will be in play in the woods and u need safety gear.
If u have any more question ask on ur facebook page below thanks

    Is this paintballs ?

  • Registered Users Posts: 587 ✭✭✭darman28

Hi urbansea no its not paintball, its called Airsoft. They are similiar but airsoft guns fire small 6mm wide plastic ball called a bb, when you are hit by one of theses bbs you shout "hit" aloud, which means you are dead or killed so you either go to a respawn and you are back in the game or you could be out of the game if you used all lives.Hope this makes sence to you.

Also you will probably need a to book a rental airsoft gun for the day, I would advise looking at the two links on the first post that Shadow78 put up, they have alot of info about Tigerland, directions, rules etc and about the wonderful sport of Airsoft.

Hello Pha7vtom, sorry but we do not refer to airsoft guns as weapons because airsoft guns do not harm or hurt anyone.
Tigerland Airsoft Club does not sell airsoft guns, It does have about 5 or 6 rental airsoft guns for people new to airsoft and would like to try it with us.
There are plenty of Irish online retailers out there to buy an airsoft gun off. Here are afew
    http://www.hobbyairsofter.com/
    http://www.galwayairsoftsupplies.com/
There are alot more out there just google airsoft irish retailers and it would give you a list of them. But I would highly recommend trying and playing airsoft before buying anything. Also if your thinking about buying an airsoft gun put in the research because there are alot of dodgy makes out there and some shops can over charge you also. Here on boards.ie there is an airsoft forum under Sport, It has alot on info on it and you can ask your own questions too.:D

Ah, thanks man! I've got an FN SCAR and S&W M405, but was looking for a sniper for practice! Airsoft guns don't infict damage? They feel fairly sore to me! Pretty bad bruising from one shot actually....
Might have to the place in Sligo over Summer, sounds like fun!
    cheers,
