I think it depends on wether you live in a city or in a rural area too. The ratio of men/women makes all the difference. It's either that or my indie kiddie looks don't go down well with country birds.

The majority of men are simply not attractive to women, it's part of the reason why so many women feel sex is a chore with their boyfriend's/husbands.

Women aren't anymore shallow than anyone else. They don't choose what traits attracts them sexually. Women are far more sexual than men, it just shows how unattractive most men are that so few do well with women. Often times that is interpreted that women don't like sex. The truth is they simply have more filters before their sexuality really opens up. I would describe women's sexuality as narrow and deep, whereas men's are more wide and shallow.

Not only the very best(looks aren't nearly as important as you think) will attract women, so long as men open up the filters that women have then they will be attractive sexually.

Desperation as many posters have mentioned, is one trait that does not get through the filters. Thats why desperate men are not an option. The options, are the men who pass through the filters, which sorry to say are few and far between. This my friend is not BS, this is reality. Being secure is probably the most important trait to open the filters along with a few others.

I really don't understand why girls don't approach guys more. I've never seen a guy be mean to a girl that starts talking to him. Girls chat me up every now and then and the ones that do are normally very pretty and that's why they have the confidence to talk to guys. If a girl comes up to me and wants a kiss then she is more than likely getting a kiss.

This;). Went out with a french girl once and she was pretty awesome. I was friends with some scandinavian chicks and they were very open.... lets say. I still feel you are not giving a complete picture. Sure SOME women feel like you describe but not all will have those feelings. Similarly, there are men that find a lot of women unattractive and will not go below their standards. I do not believe in generalizations such as those in your post. Your post is the equivalent of saying "All men will have sex with any girl" or "All men are only attracted to girls under 25 with slim waists and big breasts". Of course either are true for a large amount, but they would both be far from representing the feelings of a majority of men.

The idea that a majority of men are not attractive to women is not supported by real life. There is just not enough space here to get into this argument.

Plus I am very aware that women judge potential partners on much more than looks. That was actually a central point to my previous post.

Exactly, it is the nature of most animals that the male tries to impress / woo the female, it's not natural that the female would take on this role. The male will try to attract a female (any female). It's generally not the place of the female to do the work

I had a similar debate last year, when my friends and I were talking about having a *contest* about who could "pull" the most ppl in a set length of time.

It was a mixed grp, and many of the men suggested, unfair as it was easier for the girls to pull. (The contest never got of the ground, damn ppl and they're wanting "meaningful relations" tch!:rolleyes:)
