Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

As some of you already know, unfortunately Fightlord Ltd (Fightlord.com) has stopped trading.

We are selling off the stock online and in our shop at the school.
For the next week or so Fightlord gis and pants will be on sale as long as the stock lasts.... after that we'll be putting the rest on sale until everything's gone.

After everything Fightlord has gone, don't worry.... we will still have our own shop at the studios where you can come buy gear, or get it delivered!

    Thanks
    maeve

And I hope its a long one too Jon, good call.

Meave & Fightlord have been very good at sponsoring various events, they've been good for Martial Arts and I'm sorry to see them go.

Fedor.2 - It's really easy to slag when you hide behind a username :)

You're obviously used to buying cheap crap, and have absolutely no clue what you're talking about!

If it's Fightlord you're referring to, they don't sell cheap crap... they sell good quality gear at fair prices.

They have not gone bankrupt, they are ceasing trading.... this means they won't be buying new stock in.

Thanks lads, what an eejit :)

I actually don't have any part in Fightlord, apart from doing most of the boring and dull work, the lads get all the glory :D

Its a shame, especially because of the Lucky Gis! I do find it expensive but it is great to have an irish MMA shop like that, not full of the usual Tapout,Affliction,Silverstar rubbish but full of proper useful MMA gear. The Fightlord lads are very nice, helpful and are just good guys trying to make a living on a sport that both themselves and us love. So for that I respect them and find it disappointing to see them gone

Thanks for that bjj-fighter, we'll still have lots of nice gear available at the shop in our school... you'll be able to buy via Paypal and get it delivered or of course you can drop in.

Lucky Gis are crazy money... but very nice :D We just got some nice new OTM Fight Shorts into the shop last week... but I doubt we'll be getting Luckys in... for the moment anyway :D

Fedor 2, its pretty clear you dont no the diffrence between good gear and cheap crap!! And as we have just opened our own store here in our school we understand whats its like to run a school aswel as run a store and its not easy. Fightlord has been a great supporter of Irish Martial Arts and its a shame to see them gone so mabye you should show a little compassion instead of trying to rubb someones nose in it when you clearly havnt a clue yourself. Grow up!!!!!

Real sorry to hear this. I got some excellent gear from Fightlord and the customer service was always brilliant. Well done for getting involved with the MMA league as well.

Hi lads, Fightlord have just put Top King 'Air' Velcro leather boxing gloves on sale, they're an absolute bargain at 60 euro. They've got 8oz up to 16oz in stock at the moment.

You can buy the on the Fightlord.com site or pick them up at the shop in our school in Clonshaugh just off the M1/M50 www.defendu.ie

Can someone tell me would this be alright for judo / is it good value? Extra €12.50 too for registered post. Thanks.

might be ok for training in but probably not for competition. Even ignoring the new IJF rules on Gis (something about only certain brands being allowed) BJJ gis are tailored different to judo suits and are techincally not allowed.

The Fightlord site has been down, apparently the provider had a meltdown! :(

Apologies to everyone who placed orders that we didnt receive notification for, we're getting them out to you right now.

And thanks to the boards.ie member who let us know about the problem! :D
