Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

They showed the front angle of the hand-ball once. all the replays after that were from weird angles. I thought the front angle clearly showed the ball off the shoulder, but want to see it again.

If Australia can hold off until half-time, there's hope.

Not even a second of injury time? Hmmm....

Game is spoilt now but we've been good considering.

Australia have to take a risk. Serbia will be too strong for them.

  • Registered Users Posts: 908 ✭✭✭The Cannibal

Germany will beat Ghana by 2 or 3. I think they've been the luckiest team of the tournament so far (2 penalties and sending offs in their favour). Serbia gifted the game to them and Australia were the better team before the sending off.

    Me ar.se.

Currently playing for the club who's fans were responsible for the death of two Leeds fans during their Champions League run years ago.

Also dug his feet in regarding getting a move to Liverpool despite the fact that other clubs offered more money even though Leeds were fecked for cash.

"Having rejected more financially enticing offers from AC Milan[9], Chelsea[9], Manchester United[9], Arsenal[9] and Barcelona[9], Kewell moved to Liverpool for the start of the 2003-04 season. Kewell was handed the famous No. 7 shirt, surrendered by Vladimir Smicer".

Australia lost all energy so far, and Ghana are pressing forward. Australia very bad on the ball and summed up there by Bresciano, who was gifted a ball and just tapped it back to the Ghana defence.

    Hope for Australia is fading.

So, as a professional not from Leeds, he shouldn't have gone to a club to continue his career because of the actions of a minority of their supporters?

    Fair enough

Always given his all for Australia even when he was f*cked. Model international footballer.

Agree. Was a great great footballer for Leeds. Easily one of their best performers week in and week out.

Never made his mark with Liverpool but he is a top top footballer.

Past it a bit now but he really gives his all no matter when he plays.

If Ghana want to win this game they need to stop taking long distance shots and try and get into the box

Ghana taking pot shots from 40-45 yards. Wtf

    Limited team tbh

Would love for Australia to stun them New Zealand style.

JEEESUS Chipperfield should have buried that.

What's the point of those replays where they are zoomed right in? You can't see a thing.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40,909 ✭✭✭✭Xavi6

Here's Kennedy to win it, like Chipperfield should have

    Jesus saves!

Nearly. I'd suggest that as a guy who had played for Leeds for nearly ten years he should have shown a degree of respect for the club by not signing for Galatasaray given the two clubs history.

    Oohh yeah, Kennedy on ftw

Fair play to Australia, having a right go at this.

This game could go either way, Ghana aren't great up front, relying on a long range goal.

    They need Essien for that.

There is absolutely no excuse for Gyan not at least hitting the target there.

EDIT: and that was worse from the aussie!

Awful shot... Ghana are going to rue their missed chances if they go out

Game opening up. I like it.

Pity Klose is banned. He'd ruin Ghana. Wonder if it'll be Cacau or Gomez in his place.

  • Registered Users Posts: 908 ✭✭✭The Cannibal

11 vs 11 this would have been all Australia.

  • Registered Users Posts: 908 ✭✭✭The Cannibal

This result should make Germany and Serbia favourites to go through if it finishes like this.

Some of the refereeing in this has been atrocious.

    Gutted we're not winning this

I'd say so. Germany will beat Ghana. Serbia play against Australia, who miss Cahill, Kewell and Craig Moore.

    Game over. sh1tty draw.

    JESUS CHRIST!!
What hell is it with African teams just wasting good chances to win games.
FFS that was most painfull game i have had to watch so far cause i had bet on Ghana and Cameroon to win today. All they bloody well did was shoot from Distance everytime!! They could of won and killed game off well before the end.
Bloody annoying as hell that Kevin prince boatang is a joke talk bout a glory hunter.

Nobody even discussed how far the wall was put back for the Australian goal. It seemed to me that the wall was pushed much further back than for any other free kick in the game.

This ball is causing a lot of problems but even with that its clear that Ghana are very bad. This Australian team is terrible and a 10 man Ghana couldn't beat them!
