I would be annoyed yes, but I'm not one of the people who would still be be giving out about it weeks later like many ridiculous and embarrassing people did about the Henry incident.

Also the fact that Italy and France are doing so bad makes Ireland look even worse. That's why I was rooting for France in the competition, if France won the world cup we could say "that should have been us!", now it's just confirmed that Ireland were crap to begin with.

Funny how there is plenty of outrage about an Italian penalty that was given correctly and none about a New Zealand that was obviously offside and should not have been given

Smeltz probably didn't know he was offside, if he was at all. De Rossi knew what he was doing.

When I look at how bad this Italian team is and also how France have imploded in this World Cup the more I become annoyed that the Irish team did not:

A) Actually win the group to go through automatically.

or

Beat France in the play-off in normal time (forget about Henry handball).

Neither of these teams are great and obviously Ireland are not that good either as we couldn't rise to the challenge. Pity as they were missed opportunities.

Referees make too many exemptions when smaller teams play the big dogs.

Really impressed with New Zealand. They're putting in a great performance.

Glad to see Ryan Nelson get Man of the Match. He's a fantastic defender who has always impressed me whenever i've seen him play for Blackburn and he's doing the business at the World Cup too
