Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Is there a standard size for names on DART/ Commuter station platforms?

Can't find a decent pic on google. Doing a bit of modelling and tryying to find what would be a reasonable size to print it out.

or even better does anyone have a template for excel / word that I could just re-size?

There seems to be, but IE seem to change their style guide so often that I couldn't tell you what it is.

They had a nice style going for a while there with the Irish in orange and English in black, but they seem to have gone back to putting Irish in italics and black, and to using the dreaded and horrible CIE 2000 font (which really is too stylised IMO to be using on signage). A nice sans serif font would look a lot better. Transport for London and its predecessors have been using the same signage style and New Johnston since 1979 and that's an update from the one they were using for about sixty years before that. (Unfortunately privatisation has messed up BR's formerly equally consistant signage).

And EXTERNAL SIGNAGE! This various widely from station to station and some (including, quite remarkably, Hueston Station) has no external signage at all! All we ask a is a large sign with the IE logo and "Stasuin Hueston Hueston Station" on it. Dublin stations in general do have external signs but many InterCity stations do not, which is a disgrace.

I'll just make something up so that it looks vaguely right so.

You could contact the roadway crowd and ask them?.
