Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back a page or two to re-sync the thread and this will then show latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Theres a shop down near me (in nutgrove shopping centre) that claims it can fix RROD'd 360's. I know a few of the ins and outs about why the 360 red rings, but should i even bother giving in my 360 to get fixed when the guy might jus towel it so it works for an hour? or has anyone used one of these guys before?

Are you talking about the place opposite the shoezone shop? Run by the chinese couple? That sell car accessories and dodgey DSi's. Definitely not the kind of place I'd leave it in to be fixed.

That said , all the fixing does is prolong the inevitable in my experience. How long you get from the fix depends on several factors not least the person knowing what they are doing

Why bother going to dodgy shops when Microsoft have extended warranties against RROD.

Give Microsoft a ring and get it fixed properly. Should cost you nothing.

I wouldnt even bother with those shops you could do a better job yourself at home with a bit of research than they would.
they probobly use a heat gun and a old fashioned x clamp fix.
They will work for a few weeks but do more damage in the long run.
they use these metholds as they are as cheap as possible

my advice was impractical and illegal, I will refrain from such advice in future or the local mod will give me a holiday

    go to www.xbox-experts.co.uk
Look up oven bake and oven reflow in tutorials bake first then reflow.
I know it seems mad but its nearly as good as a professional reflow when you use liquid flux.
buy an advanced hybrid kit and make sure you do all the steps.
I've done this tonnes of times and I've had one running for nearly a year now.
Just make sure you insulate everything perfect for the refolw theres no such thing as too much .
And a few cooling mods wont hurt.
