Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Cycle paths for children?

Can anyone recommend a cycle track around Dublin that is suitable for teaching children a bit of cycling discipline, children aged 4 and 6. Went to Clontarf last weekend and cycled along the one on the seafront and out to BUll Island which was ideal, long and flat and properly separated from the road. Any others like this within a 30 minute drive of Dublin 14? Nothing off road or too hilly and must be away from motor traffic.

Phoenix Park should be good for kids of that age.

Not sure anyone else using the cycling track would appreciate a 4 year old's idea of cycling straight ahead. :D

Theres another lovely track at Blackrock park that goes all the way to Booterstown Dart Station. Its within a park and adjacent to the sea so its lovely views and no worries about cars

Yep, Dodder Valley to Tempelogue, ideal for a youngster and close to D14 area

Teach your child how to get pedestrians off the cycle lane! ;)

Second left turn off on Taylor's lane heading towards Marlay park, coming from Rathfarnham direction, there's a cycle track for kids. It's really only used by kids learning to cycle, and is as safe as houses.
