Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I signed Birsa and made him into a Superstar in Pro Evo while I was West Brom boss...I don't see this happening in real life. :P

Slovenia staring to eek out a few chances , hope England dont regret not making their chances count

Terry going at that with his head, legend.

I honestly could'nt care less wherehe sticks his naughty bits when off the pitch, he has proved plenty of times he's willing to put his head and anythign else on the line on it.

Fantastic blocks by Terry and Johnson - silly ball given away by Barry.

England need to get a second to settle the nerves

    Great play by Terry there

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,133 ✭✭✭Stevecw

That should encourage Slovenia. Should attack more now as England will get nervy.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,584 ✭✭✭TouchingVirus

Cracking blocks, great defending from a stupid attempt at a pass.

I ****ing hate that about Terry. It was his ****ing fault that the position happened in the first place, but because he throws his head at a diving block, everyone is ooohh-ahhh. The situation shoulda been dealt with before the knockdon or after the knockdown.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,369 ✭✭✭✭SlickRic

    you moron Barry.

    brilliant block Terry.

    and Johnson.

If anyone is still having trouble with the RTE stream, the hd feed from http://www.eurovisionsports.tv/fifaworldcup/
and the Sun's audio commentary at http://commentariesv2.mediaondemand.net/?c=thesun&channel=football are exactly in sync for me, just kill the raw audio on the hd feed.

Birsa should stop taking free kicks...that's three terrible ones.

Yet another sitter missed by the Americans. Header straight at the keeper.

No player is perfect. They all make mistakes, it's how you react that matters. Plenty of players **** up then stand there throwign their hands in the air.

he normally wins that 1st header; one of the best in the business at it.

he made up for one of those rare times he didn't win it.

Hoping England don't regret not having a second by now,

The last 20 mins are going to be tense as Slovenia up their game.

C'mon Endland, get another one. I can't take this crap.

Let's have a goal and finish this Joe.

A chance for Joe Cole to prove he deserves to start, if he plays half as good as his PR people have been he'll do well.

    Joe Cole on for Rooney

Incredible the contrast between the boos for Rooney and the cheers for Joe Cole

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 51,342 ✭✭✭✭That_Guy

    Rooney off. Here comes Cole.

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 32,865 ✭✭✭✭MagicMarker

    So Gerrard up front?

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,202 ✭✭✭el dude

Birsa hasn't taken a decent dead ball all game. Wasteful.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,246 ✭✭✭Esse85

Birsa's delivery has been absolutely rubbish.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,326 ✭✭✭✭ctrl-alt-delete

    Gerrard will be delighted!

If Cole doesn't do something what will the next question be.

Rooney off for Joe Cole. What do you reckon lads.....masterstroke or big mistake?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,369 ✭✭✭UnitedIrishman

    Rooney bit injured maybe?

Joe Cole would want to score a hat-tick now with all the ****e that has been talked about him.

  • Moderators, Arts Moderators Posts: 35,528 Mod ✭✭✭✭pickarooney

Brilliant clearance by Bocanegra. This could still go either way. All 4 teams still in it.

Not really, Rooney looks like half the player we all know he is.

    Strange, strange decision by Capello!

Rooney was struggling and they are comfortable enough, no poent risking him if hes carrying or has picked up a knock, they need him if they get through.
Delighted for Joe Cole, crime this is his first appearance this world cup

    he was limping i think.

    no point risking him.

Lawrenson going mad at that last Lampard challenge. LOL.

Very premature of the BBC to be promoting England's next game in the World Cup.

Another quality save from the Algerian keeper - where has he been until now?
